Bobby Jean Frost retired in 2002 as Chairman of the Fine Arts Department and Director of Choral Activities at Hillsboro High School in Nashville. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from George Peabody College and did her graduate work at Belmont University. Frost’s career spans both music education and commercial music. She was the musical director at Opryland, USA, for 23 years and is a published arranger. Frost is a frequent clinician and adjudicator at regional and national events and was session director and pianist for all classroom recordings for Metro Nashville Public Schools and for well-known local PBS education TV shows. She is the author of the music curricula for Metro Nashville Schools and the State of Tennessee. She has previously served TMEA as executive secretary, convention general chair, program chair, equipment chair, and all-state chair. Currently she is manager of the TMEA State Music Conference.
