Mary Ann Lowe was one of the founders of the Tennessee Elementary Music Education Association. As a result, the elementary music teachers now have a voice at the state level. She worked tirelessly for the Association, being elected as the local and district chairperson of TEMEA and serving on the TMEA Board of Directors. During her years as a music specialist and music teacher in the Chattanooga public schools, Ms. Lowe touched the lives of thousands of students in so many ways.
