West President: Ebonee Woodland
Ebonee is a Junior Music Education major at the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is a trombone player in the Wind Ensemble, Trombone Choir, Brass Ensemble, and Skyhawk Marching Band. She is a sister in Sigma Alpha Iota since Spring of 2016. She is also actively involved on campus as a member of Undergraduate Alumni Council. This will be her second year as state officer for CNAfME. Last year, she was the Vice President/Public Relations.
Middle President: Alexis Buglio
Lexi was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is a senior at Belmont University studying K-12 music education in both instrumental and vocal areas. Lexi is taking leadership courses through the Honors college to prepare herself for future opportunities, like this position. Her principal is the clarinet, but she actively plays violin and bass guitar for other musicians, sings in a Church choir, and is taking piano and French horn lessons. Lexi’s main goal as president for Belmont’s NAfME chapter and Middle Tennessee is to collaborate more between chapters because we are our best resources in the field.
East President: Andrew Layne
Andrew is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, studying Music Education and Trumpet Performance. He's a squad leader in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band and a member of the UTK Wind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, and the Shark Bait Brass Quintet. He served as president of UTK’s chapter of C-NAfME for the 2016-2017 school year and has been an active member in the organization for the last three years.
Vice President/Public Relations: Emily Campbell
Emily is a sophomore music education major at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Emily plays clarinet as her primary instrument, but she also takes minor lessons in piano. She is an active member of UTM’s Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Quartet, Clarinet Choir, Contemporary Music Group, and the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity. She also serves as the clarinet section leader for the Skyhawk Marching Band, secretary for the UTM Woodwind Students’ Association, and as a representative on the UTM Music Student Council. After graduation, she hopes to either become a middle school band director or an elementary music teacher.
Secretary: Sarah McCutchan
Sarah is a senior music education major with a Spanish minor at Belmont University. Before coming to Belmont, she lived in Rifle, Colorado. Sarah has held several leadership positions, currently serving as President of the Epsilon Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, as well as Vice President of Belmont’s ACDA chapter. In spring 2017, she was awarded the Presser Scholarship for her senior year, and was also inducted into the music honor society, Pi Kappa Lambda. Upon graduation, Sarah hopes to travel abroad in order to enhance her Spanish-speaking abilities before returning to the US to teach music.
